WHAT'S HAPPENING
The MRIS 7th Grade Orchestra collaborated with Maryville Junior High School and Coulter Grove Orchestras for an unforgettable performance at the Greenbelt Amphitheater - our first concert outdoors. A huge shoutout to the Orchestra Eagles for their dedication and enthusiasm, making this concert a memorable one. Way to Go!
"Interview Day" is the capstone of our 7th Grade Leadworthy Elite program! This event aimed to enhance our leadership students' soft skills and prepare them for future job interviews. We were thrilled to welcome MRIS staff, Leadworthy Elite parents, and community members who volunteered to interview our students. With over 30 volunteers, it was a fantastic success! Thank you all for your support!
We are so proud of the amazing job that Jack, Luke, Caroline, and Skye did representing Montgomery Ridge at the school board meeting in November. These Leadworthy Elite students spoke about our mentor program, student-led announcements, student greeters, and the Game Changer Box that celebrates our staff. Lots of exciting things happening on The Ridge!
We would like to introduce Mr. Logan Goodin, the new assistant principal at MRIS. Mr. Goodin is entering his 14th year in education. He taught a half year interim at Eagleton Middle School in 7th grade math, followed by 12 years at Maryville Junior High School teaching 8th grade math and Algebra 1.
Several years ago, one of our students, Jake Thomas, passed away, not long after this celebration. Jake chose kindness each day and was a friend to all. Therefore, in honor and remembrance, we have created an opportunity to continue his legacy each year here on The Ridge.
The MRIS Talent Show was a huge success! Thank you to all of the amazing students who participated. We hosted singing, dancing, guitar, piano and even a karate demonstration. Congratulations on a great show! Mr. Ink and Mrs. Weekley are very proud of you.
