ESL on the Ridge

I am Haley Dirmeyer, the ESL teacher at Montgomery Ridge. Along with being certified to teach ESL for K-12, I am also certified for all subjects 4-8, English 4-12, and Earth and Space Sciences 7-12.

In ESL, students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills that support both academic growth and social interaction. Students engage in academic activities like novel studies, research projects, experiments, and discussions to become bilingual. 

Additionally, newcomers to the United States take English and Language Arts with me to learn phonics and the basics of the English language in order to successfully access academic content and build relationships with peers and teachers. Please contact me with any questions.
