Eagle X Games
MRIS’s annual fundraising event will be held on September 16th, 2022. Money is raised for our school through business sponsorships as well as through students collecting pledges for the particular event in which he/she competes. The sponsorships and pledges from Eagle X Games will be used this school year to fund teacher grants and make improvements within the classrooms. This is our ONLY school-wide fundraising event, so let’s MAKE IT COUNT!
Students signed up for his/her top choice of 1 event: Hula Hoop, Bean Bag Toss, Chipping, Jump Rope, Climbing Wall, Obstacle Course, Free Throws, Soccer Kicks, Skateboarding, Walk/Jog Track. Students participated with other members of their team during their Encore class period. Students collected flat donations or collected donations based on an amount per "lap" (number of free throws made, number of times around the obstacle course, etc).
Incentives
Students will turn in collected pledges during the week of Sept 19th-23rd, and will have their names entered into a drawing for AWESOME prizes (see the prize selection in the display case outside the art room). The more money raised, the more times a student's name is placed in the drawing. Top collectors get a limo ride to lunch, and the top money-raising grade in 4th/5th and 6th/7th will get a pizza party day at the park. Each student raising $250 or more will receive a limited-edition MRIS hoodie!
