MJHS Volleyball Tryout Information for Current 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Girls
Since we are not able to resume classes back in our buildings due to the COVID-19 crisis for the remainder of the school year, tryouts for MJHS Volleyball have been postponed. Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough information to set dates at this time. However, if we receive approval from our state and local governments and our Director of Schools to safely resume athletics this summer, then we will communicate tryout dates and times through several communication methods: Emails from our Maryville Central office called "Peach Jar; you can also check the Maryville Junior High and Maryville City Schools Facebook pages as well.
If we are simply unable to do volleyball tryouts this summer, then we will have them within the first couple of days when we return to school in the Fall. Additionally, if we are able to have tryouts this summer but there are students who have conflicts and cannot attend, then we will offer tryout opportunities for these students within the first couple of days back to school in the Fall. All of this hinges, of course, on information we receive from federal, state, and local agencies and our Maryville City School Director's discretion once restrictions are eased. Thanks for your interest and take care everyone!
If you have further questions, you may contact the MJHS coaches at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

Parents or Guardians of Upcoming 7th Grade Students
Before entering 7th grade, students are required to provide proof they have received a booster dose of the Tdap. Tdap is a combination vaccine that protects against three potentially life-threatening bacterial diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).
Your student must turn in a current Tennessee Immunization Certificate that verifies student is compliant with immunizations required for 7th grade before July 31, 2020. Immunizations and certificates can be obtained from either your student’s pediatrician or at local health department.
I have sent letters with all 6th grade students that are lacking the immunization or proof of immunization in this week’s Friday folders.
