New Student Registration Information

PLEASE NOTE:  Registration is for students and families NEW to Maryville City – current students are already registered.

STEP 1 of 3:  PREREGISTER ONLINE

**** IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY WITH THE SITE PLEASE CONTACT YOUR ZONED SCHOOL.  COMPUTERS AND ASSISTANCE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE SCHOOLS ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS.

• WEDNESDAY, JULY 24TH (EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION) FROM 8:00-11:30 AM
• WEDNESDAY, JULY 31ST (REGISTRATION DAY) FROM 8:00-11:30 AM AND 1:00-3:00 PM.

STEP 2 of 3: REGISTER ONLINE / PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION

Once your Preregistration data had been approved, you will receive an email explaining the process of how to create yourself a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account and how to finish the Online Registration forms.  As a part of this process, you will need to upload the following documentation to the site or deliver it to the school office.
 

1. Proof of Birth, one of the following forms:  

   • Birth Certificate - issued by a government 

   • Passport issued by any nation (translated) 

   • Immigration documentation 

   • Decree of adoption or other records issued by a court 

   • Other official documentation showing date of birth and parent's names 

2. Social Security Card (if available)

3. TN Certificate of Immunization (TN DOE LINK) -  Please note that all students entering 7th grade are required to have additional vaccinations or provide an exemption form. 4. Proof of Residency (HELPFUL LINK): mortgage or lease AND a utility bill from City of Maryville or ATMOS.

5. 4th Grade TN students enrolling at MRIS MUST provide proof of grades from the TN Ready/TCAP Tests for the 3rd grade. (TN TCAP FAMILY ASSESSMENT INFORMATION LINK)

 6. Withdrawal form and grades from previous school

 7. Optional--Any custody documents pertaining to the students

 7. Optional-- Documentation of Special Services (IEP, 504, RTI)

 Only legal guardians may register students.

STEP 3 of 3: ELECTIVE CHOICES

5TH, 6TH, AND 7TH GRADERS - WATCH THE VIDEO ABOUT THE ELECTIVE CHOICES AND READ THE LINKED LETTERS FOR MORE INFORMATION.  PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ELECTIVE CHOICE FORM TO SUBMIT YOUR STUDENT'S ELECTIVE CHOICES. REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT THE ELECTIVE CHOICES.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• You are only considered REGISTERED upon completion of Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3.
• Summer Information and Supply List
• Supply Fee:  $55 per year. Checks payable to Montgomery Ridge Intermediate School. 
• iReady Protection Fee (Optional Yearly Device Insurance Plan) $40 per individual student or $100 per family.  Payments may be made on-line @ https://mcs.schoolcashonline.com, checks payable to Maryville City Schools, or cash.
